Compositions
A composition places one or more designs onto a single page. It is the reusable unit you drop into a playlist — the chapter in the book analogy.
- A single full-screen design? Use a one-design composition.
- A split layout (e.g. a menu on the left, a video on the right)? Place several designs in one composition and position each.
Create a composition
- Go to Compositions and click New composition.
- The composition editor opens.
The composition editor
- Library panel — your designs (and media). Drag items onto the canvas.
- Canvas — arrange and size each placement.
- Properties panel — adjust the selected placement.
- Layers panel — see and reorder placements.
- Toolbar — undo/redo, snap, fit-to-view, preview, and save. The ? hint next to the title explains the editor.
Place and arrange designs
- Drag a design from the library onto the canvas.
- Move and resize the placement; turn on Snap to align to the grid and to other placements.
- Repeat for additional designs.
- Save.
Live binding
Compositions reference designs by id. When you edit a design, compositions that use it can update live (this is controlled by an org-level real-time setting). You see a preview of placements as you build, and a full-render preview from the toolbar.
