A scoped REST API lets an agent — Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, n8n, or your own — create media, build designs from a high-level spec, and publish them to screens programmatically.
An MCP server, out of the box
Vewport ships a Model Context Protocol server that wraps the agent API as tools, so Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cursor can list screens, import media, build designs, and publish — no glue code.
Scoped keys, not master keys
Agents authenticate with API keys carrying explicit write/publish scopes (media:write, designs:write, screens:publish). A key without scopes is read-only; revoke the key and the agent is out.
Agent output is normal content
Everything the agent creates lands as ordinary media and designs — editable in the designer, schedulable in playlists, and governed by the same plan limits as content a person made.

- Does Vewport include built-in AI image generation?
- No. Vewport hosts no AI model and has no Generate button. AI-made content comes from your own external agent, which builds and publishes through Vewport’s REST API and MCP server. You bring the AI; Vewport stores and places the result.
- Can an AI agent build signage in Vewport automatically?
- Yes. Vewport exposes a scoped REST API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so an external agent — Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, n8n, or your own — can create media, build a design from a high-level spec, and publish it to a screen.
- Where does the AI processing happen?
- On your side. Your agent calls its own model with its own key, then sends the finished content to Vewport over the API. No inference runs on Vewport, and no prompt or model key passes through it.
- What does it cost to use AI with Vewport?
- Vewport does not charge for AI usage — your agent pays its own model provider directly. Vewport’s plans stay flat per workspace, with every feature on every tier.
